​ABOUT BRAY-GENTILLY INSURANCE

Nearly one million Minnesotans come to count on the security and protection Minnesota mutual insurance brings. They depend on us to protect their homes, farms and personal property.   All of this grew out of a basic concept of people pitching in to help each other when a disaster struck. People helping people, neighbor helping neighbor, and it’s the concept behind Bray-Gentilly Mutual Insurance.

We were founded in 1900, right here in Northwest Minnesota in the townships of Bray in Pennington County and Gentilly in Polk County and have been serving our surrounding communities ever since. 

Bray-Gentilly offers packaged policies that split the perils insured against, between Bray-Gentilly and our packaging partners, North Star Mutual Insurance and Ram Mutual Insurance, to offer one fully packaged policy with many optional coverages available  to our insureds.  

We work with Independent Agents who write and service the policyholders that our Company insures.  You will find a list of the Agencies that work with us on the Agent's page. 

Our Company is owned by our policyholders, who elect policyholders, to serve as officers and board members. Our employees are our policyholders who work to serve you.  The Independent Agents that write our product are dedicated to the protection needed by you and the success of our company.

Bray-Gentilly is allowed by Minnesota State Statute to write insurance in the counties of: Pennington, Red Lake, Polk, Marshall, Roseau, Beltrami & Clearwater.  The people who live in these communities are our focus and we base our products on the type of insurance coverage needed for the lifestyles we have in our writing territory.
